15 April, 2015 12:01
Singapore has invested in Kazakhstan about 50 million dollars in ten years, Chairman of Investment Committee of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Yerlan Khairov said during the Kazakh-Singapore Business Forum.

"From 2005 to 2014, the inflow of direct investment from Singapore to Kazakhstan amounted to about 50 million dollars, Kazakhstan invested about 900 million dollars", Ye.Khairov said.

On average there is a moderate increase in the inflow of direct investment from Singapore to Kazakhstan. "We are also creating a good environment for investment, based on the experience of Singapore. Kazakhstan actively cooperates with Singapore, carries out relations in the field of management consulting, develops a new model of economy", he added.

Singaporean side is represented by 10 members of the business delegation - heads of companies such as Leung Kai Fook Medical, Megaton Shipping Pte Ltd, Rutledge, Arise Global, Kenetics Innovations Pte Ltd.

"This forum has become a "bridge" between the two countries. I hope this "bridge" will be strong enough to establish cooperation. You know that global changes in the economy, the unstable situation in some regions also affect the economies of many countries, despite the fact that Kazakhstan supports the policy and the economy in a stable condition. Today, Kazakhstan is aimed at developments and modernization of the industry, the economy, the successful introduction of the first five-year plan of industrial development shows that we achieve our aims", the Chairman of the Committee said.

According to the results of the business forum, it is planned to hold bilateral meetings in B2B between Singapore and Kazakhstan entrepreneurs.
