Year of Youth: Kazakhstan and US share experience

First President Nursultan Nazarbayev declared 2019 the Year of Youth in Kazakhstan. Today, comprehensive support for young people is becoming a priority of the state policy. All conditions have been created for the development of science and education as well as privileges, subsidies and other measures of the state support have been provided. In return, young people are expected to be active and effective. For these reasons the Kazakh Ministry of Information and Social Development organized a Kazakhstani-American Youth Forum aimed at sharing experience between the Kazakh and US young people. High-level C5+1 Meeting highlighted challenges and threats facing Central Asia

21 August 2019 saw the high-level meeting in a C5+1 format involving Kazakh Foreign Ministry Beibut Atamkulov, Deputy Chair of the Cabinet of Ministers – Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chinigiz Aidarbekov, Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov, Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and US Under Secretary of State David Hale.
