We will continue to share our economic experience – Korean Ambassador to Kazakhstan
The Kazakh capital, Nur-Sultan, is hosting the 2019 Knowledge Sharing Programme Regional Seminar in Eurasia, which provides Kazakhstan with an opportunity to go over social and economic issues Eurasia faces as well as a platform to exchange views with regional, global and Korean experts, Strategy2050.kz correspondent reports.
Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Kim Dae-Sik is among those present, who in his welcoming remarks stressed the visit of Korean President Moon Jae-in to Kazakhstan.
“This year is special. As you know, in April we had a very successful visit of President Moon Jae-in to Kazakhstan, who talked with Kazakh President Tokayev. They had very successful discussions”, the Korean ambassador said.
He also added that the Korean President had shared his intention to share Korea’s experience in economic development in the Eurasian continent.
“The two leaders will continue to cooperate to share our economic experience. Today’s seminar is very useful. We can exchange our views on how to improve our skills. I think this is a very good opportunity. Yesterday, In Nur-Sultan we had the international event – the 4th Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Parliaments. 25 years ago first Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev had mentioned about the Eurasian integration concept in Moscow”, Mr. Kim Dae-Sik said.
He sees the seminar’s objective in overcoming some difficulties in the will of Eurasian leaders to cooperate, expressing the hope that the seminar that centers on the fields of investment and trade will bring about successful discussions.
“As Korean Ambassador to Kazakhstan, I think your country is a very dynamic economy, especially among other Central Asian economies. Your input and effort are very much appreciated to the programme”, he concluded.
2019 KSP Regional Seminar is held each year.
