Turkish companies to invest in Kazakh renewable energy and telecommunications

Turkish investors consider investing in Kazakhstan’s renewable energy and telecommunications sectors, reports Strategy2050.kz.

Kazakh Invest national company tasked with promoting investments and attract foreign investors to Kazakhstan organized a visit of Şinlak holding to Kazakhstan to discuss the implementation of several investment projects.
Şinlak holding comprises 18 companies operating military-industrial complex, energy, telecommunications, media, and private investments. Founded in 1962, it is one of the leading defense, energy, and telecommunications companies in Turkey.
During the meeting between Şinlak Holding Chair Serdar Şhinlak and Kazakh Invest Chair Meirzhan Yussupov, the Turkish investors were briefed on the investment climate, financial instruments, advantages of investing in Kazakhstan and state support measures for investments in Kazakhstan.
Serdar Şinlak said his company is considering the possibility of building a solar power plant with a capacity of 100 megawatts with plans to increase it to 1,000 megawatts.
The Turkish company, which is a partner of the British company LYCA Mobile, also works in the development of innovative solutions in GSM telecommunications. Investors expressed their interest in establishing cooperation with Kazakh TV operators and assist in the development of this industry.
The sides also agreed to continue close cooperation.
