Trust level in Kazakh President reaches 74.9% - survey results
According to the Sociological Research Center of the Institute for Eurasian Integration, the survey was conducted in 14 regional centers and rural settlements, three cities of republican significance - Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent.
“The survey shows there is a high level of direct support for the President of the country. 70.3% of the population support K.K. Tokayev as the Head of State. The society has a fairly high level of trust in the President of Kazakhstan - 74.9%”, the Sociological Research Center reports.
It is noted that the majority of respondents are generally satisfied with the activities of the Head of State. More than 70% of respondents believe that the presidential initiatives can help increase the well-being of the population and the development of the country.
According to the respondents, the most important measures of President Tokayev were: “Statement by the President that land will not be sold to foreign citizens”; “Tighter penalties for serious crimes against the individual, especially against children”; “Provision of rental housing for large families and low-income families”; “Credit amnesty”; “Intensification of cooperation of Kazakhstan with strategic partners and international organizations”.
In the rating of personal expectations from the President and the Government in terms of social support for the population of Kazakhstan and the further development of the country, respondents noted such issues as raising wages and pensions, and overall welfare of the population, combating poverty, ensuring housing affordability for the general population. Among the significant expectations are the fight against corruption and crime, work on the quality of medical services and education.
