Tokayev tasks to take measures for reducing burden on courts
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Supreme Court Chairman Zhakip Asanov, Strategy2050.kz informs with reference to the Akorda press service.
The Kazakh President was reported on the Supreme Court’s activities for 9 months of 2019 and the work on improving the judicial system, as well as the measures for improving the system for selecting judges, ensuring unified judicial practice, modernizing justice by establishing extrajudicial conciliation centres, family courts and front offices.
The Head of State pointed out the need for people’s greater confidence in judges, fair consideration of citizens’ appeals, and better quality of judges’ decisions.
The Kazakh President tasked the Chairman to take measures to reduce the burden on the courts, relieve the courts of functions that do not properly belong to them, thus resulting in poor judicial decisions, as well as reiterated the importance to follow up to enhance professional competence of members of the judiciary.
