Tokayev meets with world’s top tennis players
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with stars of world tennis Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, Strategy2050.kz informs with reference to the Akorda press service.
While welcoming the Head of State thanked Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic for vising Kazakhstan and playing an exhibition match.

“This is a great opportunity to watch the two prominent tennis players playing in Kazakhstan. It is also a charitable march. Your visit to our capital represents a clear demonstration of support given to tennis development in Kazakhstan. I am certain your master class will serve as good examples and encourage them to follow in your footsteps,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
Commending Kazakh tennis, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic expressed gratitude to the President for an opportunity to meet.
“It is my third visit to Kazakhstan. Each time I visit the capital I feel excitement, this visit is special as we had an opportunity to meet with you at the incredible palace Akorda,” Rafael Nadal said.
“I would like to express gratitude to you, Mr. President, for supporting tennis in Kazakhstan. We are delighted to contribute to the development and promotion of tennis in the country,” Novak Djokovic said.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished the tennis players further achievements and congratulated Rafael Nadal on his wedding.
