Tokayev held meetings with Presidents of three countries
On the sidelines of the UNGA 74th session, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held short meetings with the Presidents of the United States, Finland, Moldova and with the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Strategy2050.kz refers to Akorda’s press service.
During the conversation with US President Donald Trump, the leaders of the two countries discussed topical issues and prospects of the Kazakh-American expanded strategic partnership.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that he will continue strengthening comprehensive relations with the United States in the political, trade, economic, humanitarian spheres, as well as in the field of ensuring regional and global security.
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also met with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects of expanding cooperation in the trade, economic, transport, logistics and technological fields, and also exchanged views on pressing issues on the international agenda.
As the President of Kazakhstan emphasized, Finland is one of the key partners of Kazakhstan in Northern Europe and the European Union.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev praised the constructive and trusting political dialogue with Finland and emphasized the commitment to the development of mutually beneficial relations.
According to the Head of State, along with the implementation of the agreements reached following the visit of Yelbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev to Finland in October 2018, the search for new areas of cooperation will expand the boundaries of interaction between the two countries.
After meeting with his Finnish counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Moldovan President Igor Dodon.

The Heads of State discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation in the political, trade and economic spheres, as well as issues of expanding the legal framework of bilateral relations.
The Presidents noted the positive dynamics of friendly relations between our countries and reaffirmed their readiness for their further strengthening.
In particular, the sides specified the need to intensify the work of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
The President of Moldova invited Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to pay an official visit to Moldova next year.
A series of bilateral meetings of the President of Kazakhstan was continued by a conversation with Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel.
The interlocutors considered the current issues on the bilateral agenda, having focused on the implementation of a number of promising projects.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Xavier Bettel, in particular, agreed to intensify cooperation in the areas of space industry, financial services, including through the Astana International Financial Center, and also discussed the possibilities of interaction in the field of digitalization.
