Tokayev discussed open skies regime with Deputy PM Roman Sklyar
The Kazakh President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has received the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the Akorda press service.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has heard the information about the work done to create an open skies regime over Kazakhstan. This year, it is expected that 14 new routes will be opened by well-known airlines from Qatar, Poland, Oman, Belarus, Malaysia, Romania, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait. Negotiations are underway with the aviation authorities of Switzerland, South Korea, Singapore, Latvia and Lithuania.
Roman Sklyar has said that in pursuance of the order of the Head of State in 2019, 12 new air routes were opened, including from the capital of Kazakhstan to Prague, Ulan Bator and Tokyo.
The President has instructed to continue active work on expanding the air communication of the country with wiling states, as well as on increasing freight traffic through the main airports of Kazakhstan.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has also noted the importance of increasing competition in the aviation sector, which will favorably affect the quality of passenger service and the development of civil aviation in general.
