Three rgns in Kazakhstan may strengthen quarantine measures
The Interdepartmental Commission for Prevention of Coronavirus Spread, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Yeraly Tugzhanov, considered the issues of the current epidemiological situation in the country, the provision of personal protective equipment, the evacuation of Kazakhstanis from abroad, as well as other topical issues, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Prime Minister.
Healthcare Minister Yelzhan Birtanov noted that some regions eased quarantine measures that led to an increase in new coronavirus cases.
In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Governor’s Offices of West Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Mangistau regions to tighten control over compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements, including possible strengthening of restrictive measures.
“The Governor’s Offices must ensure strict control over compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements. If business entities do not comply with them, then they must be temporarily closed until the violations are eliminated. This is necessary to ensure the safety of our citizens”, Tugzhanov said.
Following the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister gave a number of specific instructions.
