There is no evidence of coronavirus in Kazakhstan - Birtanov
To date, there is no evidence of coronavirus in Kazakhstan, Minister of Healthcare of Kazakhstan, Yelzhan Birtanov, said, Strategy2050.kz reports.
“The spread of coronavirus infection in the world has gained the widest scope, covering 115 countries. Among them are our closest neighbors, as well as countries with which we have direct flights.
At the same time, we all understand that it is impossible to completely isolate ourselves from the outside world. And we do not exclude the penetration of the infection into our country.
However, the Government of Kazakhstan is taking unprecedented measures to prevent the entry and spread of coronavirus infection in the country.
To date, there is no evidence of coronavirus in Kazakhstan!
The prognosis of the appearance of coronavirus infection voiced by Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Kazakhstan Zh. Bekshin is only the forecast of our scientists, which is made by statistical modeling.
The volume of passenger traffic and the prevalence of coronavirus infection in various countries of the world were taken as initial data. It is important to note that the data is constantly changing taking into account various external factors. For example, Lancet magazine has published a similar forecast for the delivery of coronavirus from China to megacities of the world https://www.thelancet.com/.../PIIS0140-6736(20)3026.../fulltext...
At the same time, the scenario proposed by our scientists may not be realized.
I declare once again that there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Kazakhstan today”, the Minister of Healthcare wrote on his Facebook page.
