Slovak parliamentarians show interest in strengthening coop with Kazakhstan
Parliamentarians from Slovakia are interested in strengthening cooperation with Kazakhstan, and even after the upcoming February 29 general elections in the country. This was stated at a meeting of Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Slovakia, Roman Vassilenko, with Chairman of the Constitution and Legislative Affairs Committee Robert Madej and Chair of the European AffairsCommittee Luboš Blaha of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, Strategy2050.kz cities MFA's official website.
Having noted the dynamic type of interaction between the parliamentarians of the two countries in recent years, including the exchange of visits and legislative experience, the interlocutors expressed interest in strengthening such contacts in the future.
The Slovak lawmakers carefully examined the program of socio-economic and political reforms implemented by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, appreciating the emphasis in these reforms on a consistent increase in the standard of living of the population, strengthening the principles of the rule of law and respect for human rights.
Noting the positive significance of the opening of the Kazakh Embassy in Slovakia for the further development of cooperation between the two countries across the entire spectrum of relations, the interlocutors agreed on the special importance of expanding trade and economic ties, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and human contacts. In this regard, the Slovak lawmakers were familiarized with plans for celebrating this year two major anniversary dates - the 1150th anniversary of Al-Farabi and the 175th anniversary of Abay.
