Singapore’s company invests in construction of 2 schools in Nur-Sultan
Businesspersons from Singapore are about to invest around 15 billion tenge to construct 2 schools and a kindergarten, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the Mayor’s press service.
At the 11th International Scientific Practical Conference “Teachers Changing the World of Schools”, Nur-Sultan Mayor Altai Kulginov and Tan Teck Yong, chairman of Singapore’s KinderWorld International Group, signed a road map to carry out investment projects in education.
“Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlined investment encouragement as the main priority, in the education system too. The capital is a favorable place to attract investment. These projects also allow creating new jobs, student places,” the mayor said.
Singaporean investors are about to build 2 schools and one kindergarten in the capital, involving investments of 15 billion tenge.
More than 300 jobs are due to be created. The kindergarten’s capacity will be 600 places, and that of 2 schools – around 2 thousand places.
“The Singaporean education system is based on practical knowledge and advanced in the world, taking leading positions in the ratings. Singapore’s company is considering a certificate of registration as a member of the AIFC,” the statement read.
The meetings of the City Investment Council saw 18 investors receive support for constructing 18 schools for 16 thousand places, including 3 thousand pre-school places. Total investments exceed 50 billion tenge.
