‘Shynyrau’ film to take part in film festival in India
“Shynyrau” (Deep well) film directed by Zhanabek Zhetiruov will take part in the program of the 2nd Kaaryat International Film Festival which will be held from December 21 to 22, 2019 in Jaipur, India. The picture was shot by Kazakhfilm JSC named after Shaken Aimanov by order of the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Kazakhstan.
This film festival is a promising new Indian film screening, organized to unite filmmakers from around the world and demonstrate the best examples of world cinema. Full-length and short films, as well as documentaries and animations, participate in the festival.
It should be reminded the film was shot in Mangistau region. The main roles in the film were played by actors Asylkhan Tolepov, Aldabek Shalbayev and Aizhan Zhetiru.


In January 2019, the work of cameraman Rivkat Ibragimov in this film was recognized as the best in the Asian film competition at the 17th International Film Festival in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In November this year, the picture of Zhetiruov took part in the competitive program of the 28th All-China Film Festival “Golden Rooster and One Hundred Flowers”, and also opened the Days of Kazakhstani Cinema in Moscow, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Abish Kekilbayev.
In December, the festival’s history of the film was supplemented by new events: the film “Shynyrau” took part in the program of the Asian International Film Festival Arizona (USA), and then in the program of the International Film Festival in Kerala (India).
