Senator Nurzhan Nursipatov attended CSTO PA events
Nurzhan Nursipatov, Deputy of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament, took part in the coordination meeting of representatives of subject committees and the standing commission on defense and security of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Senate press service informs.
The meeting was attended by members of the subject committees of both houses of the Parliament and heads of security agencies of Tajikistan.
The issues of defense and security of the CSTO member States in the light of the political realities of the region, joint coordination to achieve world order and collective security were at stake.
The meeting saw a far-reaching exchange of the views on some issues regarding further development and improvement of the situation in the area of defense and security of the CSTO member States, requiring legislative support.
As part of the visit, the participants visited the Russian 201st Military Base to learn about the security conditions on the southern boundaries of the CSTO, as well as the military division of Tajikistan’s Defense Ministry (the city of Vahdat).
Members of the coordination meeting and the standing commission are due to observe the joint training with the peace-keeping forces of the CSTO “Impenetrable brotherhood - 2019”.
