Russian Foreign Ministry to visit Kazakhstan
Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, will be on an official visit to Kazakhstan on 8-9 October 2019, head of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Mukhtar Tleuberdi has said during a press briefing, Startegy2050.kz correspondent reports.
Meetings with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Kazakh Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi are due to take place as part of the visit.
The heads of both Foreign Ministries will discuss the key issues regarding the Kazakh-Russian cooperation, the countries’ interaction within international organizations and regional integration groupings such as the United Nations, the CIS, the EAEU, CSTO, the SCO and CICA.
On top of that, the issues of international agenda, including the global and regional security, current challenges and threats will be at stake. Both sides are due to go over the preparations for the upcoming bilateral and multilateral events at high and highest levels to take place by the end of the year. They include the 16th Kazakh-Russian Interregional Cooperation Forum in Omsk, the CSTO meeting in Bishkek, and others.
