Ramazan Zhampiisov named IGTIPC Board Chairman

Ramazan Zhampiisov took over the Board Chairman following the decision of the Board of Directors of the International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Centre with effect from 17 September 2019, Strategy2050.kz informed.

Nurlan Rakhmetov, Chairman of the IGTIPC Board of Directors, introduced the new Chairman to the team and thanked warmly outgoing Rapil Zhoshybayev for the work accomplished and handed over a thank-you note on behalf of the leadership of the Association of Environmental Organizations of Kazakhstan.

Ramazan Zhampiisov has a relevant education and worked long in the area of energy and environment.

Prior to his appointment he used to be the head at the UNDP Office in Kazakhstan, between 2010 and 2018 he worked as executive director at the KAZENERGY Association and was responsible for the issues of sustainable development, environmental cooperation, social responsibility and transparency, international cooperation development.

In 2016 he was the Vice President of the Bureau of the Committee on Sustainable Energy of the European Economic Commission of the United Nations.

Ramazan Zhampiisov finished Ryskulov Kazakh Economic University, MBA at the George Washington University majored in Management in Energy and Environment and was awarded a Master of Science degree in engineering management, a Bolashak scholar.
