Qatar sent humanitarian aid to Kazakhstan to combat COVID-19

A chartered flight operated by Qatar Airways delivered humanitarian cargo weighting 8.5 tons from Doha to Nur-Sultan, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

The assistance including personal protective equipment - high-quality respiratory face masks N95, protective gears and other medical supplies was provided at the instructions of Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan thanks Qatar for the humanitarian assistance. The noble gesture of Qatar clearly demonstrates the traditionally friendly relations between the two states, as well as solidarity in international efforts to counter the pandemic”, the message reads.

The humanitarian cargo was transferred to SK-Pharmacia for its further distribution among medical institutions of Kazakhstan.
