President Tokayev received Governor of Turkestan rgn
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Governor of Turkestan region Umirzak Shukeyev, Akorda’s press service reported.
The Head of State was informed about the results of the socio-economic development of the region in the outgoing year.
According to Umirzak Shukeyev, production growth in the region increased by 5.5%, agriculture and investment - by 25%, housing construction - by 30%.
The Governor of the region also informed about the preparations for the presentation of Turkestan city, scheduled for October 2020, as well as the full completion of restoration work in Arys town.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of instructions on the provision of targeted social assistance, gasification and increasing the income of the region’s population.
