President Tokayev attended opening ceremony of celebrations dedicated to 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayuly
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev have attended the opening ceremony of celebrations dedicated to the 175th anniversary of great Kazakh poet and thinker Abay Kunanbayuly, Strategy2050.kz refers to Akorda’s press service.
Thus, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Nursultan Nazarbayev gave an official start to the anniversary events that will be held throughout the year in all regions of our country and abroad.
The festive concert entitled “Kazakh Khalky - Abaydyk Khalky” was held at the State Opera and Ballet Theater “Astana Opera”.
The concert program displayed the entire musical heritage of Abay. His creations were performed by the national artists of the USSR and Kazakhstan Asanali Ashimov, Alibek Dnishev and Roza Rymbayeva, famous cultural figures Maira Mukhamedkyzy, Aiman Musakhodzhayeva, Berik Aitzhanov, laureates of international and national competitions, young talents.
