President receives Serik Akshulakov
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received Chairman of the Board of National Centre of Neurosurgery Serik Akshulakov, the Akorda press service informs.
While meeting, the Head of State has been informed about the outcomes of the Centre’s work over the past 10 years and the prospects for its further development.
Akshulakov has dwelled on the new areas of the Centre’s activities including microneurosurgery, endovascular, endoscopic, functional neurosurgery. He also informed about the early launch of the first Central Asian complex called gamma-knife in the confines of the Centre allowing conducting complicated neurosurgical operations.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the importance of providing highly skilled and accessible medical assistance across the regions of the country.
