President received member of National Public Confidence Council Mikhail Dorofeyev
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received member of the National Public Confidence Council, journalist Mikhail Dorofeyev, Strategy2050.kz reports referring to Akorda’s press service.
Mikhail Dorofeyev spoke about the situation in the domestic information space.
During the conversation, the sides also discussed issues related to improving the competitiveness of the media, the effective implementation of the state information order, as well as the protection of the rights of journalists.
Mikhail Dorofeyev expressed gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for the decision to decriminalize the article 130 of the Criminal Code on defamation.
Having noted the importance of developing quality content on television, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that the state will continue to support the Kazakhstani mass media.
