President of Kazakhstan kicks off Government extended session
The Head of State has opened the expanded meeting of the Government, Strategy2050.kz reports.
“The extended meeting of the Government of Kazakhstan under the chairmanship of President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has started via videoconferencing”, Akorda reports on Twitter.
“Today we are considering issues related to the measures to fight the coronavirus infection. Since the beginning of the year, the national economy has been developing in a serious situation. The country's economy declined by 1.8%. The service sector is seriously declining (5.6%). We have taken very important measures to support the people and business. For my task, a comprehensive plan for economic growth has been adopted. Today we will discuss the measures taken by the Government and the Governors for economic growth, which will ensure public welfare”, the President said.
