President instructed to develop complex of measures for expanding Industry 4.0 project
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting on implementation of the “Digital Kazakhstan” State program, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.
The President instructed the Government of Kazakhstan to take measures to modernize information systems of government agencies.
President Tokayev tweeted that the Cabinet was instructed to assume measures on modernization of the information systems of government agencies, introduction of Big Data and blockchain technologies, as well as AI algorithms.
The session chaired by the Head of State focused on the implementation of the Digital Kazakhstan program. According to the President, digitalization should become an important factor in economic growth and improvement of people’s life. However, the pace of digitalization in the country has decreased recently and Kazakhstan cannot cede the regional leadership in that respect.
The Head of State instructed the Government to develop a set of regulatory and incentive measures to expand the Industry 4.0 project.
“Without a doubt, the use of digital technologies in public administration is the key to the success of the whole Program. In this matter, we need fundamental changes, we should transfer the entire document flow into a fully electronic format. And not like now, when you need to prepare and submit documents both in electronic and in paper form. Paper versions should be prohibited”, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
