President held online meeting with Mayors of Nur-Sultan and Almaty
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has heard a report made by Mayor of the capital Altai Kulginov on the current situation in the city and measures taken to introduce quarantine to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to Akorda’s press service.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called an important task the full provision of city residents with essential goods and food products.
The Head of State noted the need to provide the necessary assistance and resolve emerging issues of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations located in the city of Nur-Sultan.
In connection with the fight against coronavirus, the President instructed not to remove other urgent issues of the city’s life from the agenda. In particular, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called for keeping the flood situation under special control.
The Head of State has also heard a report by Bakytzhan Sagintayev on preparing Almaty for quarantine regime, the number of reserved beds, mobilizing resources and funds to counter the spread of coronavirus infection.
The President instructed to pay special attention to resolving issues related to food security of the country's largest metropolis, as well as tightly control the prices of socially important goods.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated the need to work out together with Governor’s Offices of Almaty region the issues of movement of the region's residents who work in Almaty.
