PM Mamin instructed to build 5 wholesale distribution centers in Kazakhstan

Construction of wholesale distribution centers is a new stage which Kazakhstan is moving to in ensuring food security and creating a national distribution system, Strategy2050.kz correspondent reports.
Prime Minister Askar Mamin noted that the presence of wholesale distribution centers in all regions will solve the food shortage during the off-season and instructed Governor’s Offices to ensure the necessary infrastructure for wholesale distribution centers and provide an opportunity to expand and attract the private sector in the creation of new industries.
In total, until 2022 it is planned to build 24 wholesale distribution centers.
“The total cost of the project is 237.5 billion tenge. The creation of a commodity distribution system will allow attracting and providing jobs for about 10.5 thousand specialists, including for the period of construction - 4.2 thousand, operation of facilities - 6.3 thousand specialists”, Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov informed.
