Pension savings increased by 96.9 billion tenge in January
The pension accumulations of the UNPF depositors as of 1 February 2020 have amounted to 10 897.5 billion tenge, an increase by 96.9 billion tenge over January 2020, or by 0.9%. The National Bank of Kazakhstan’s review says, Strategy2050.kz reports.
The review says that in January 2020 there was an increase in net income from investing pension assets by 28.2 billion tenge to 4 361.9 billion tenge as of 1 February 2020.
“The number of individual pension accounts of depositors in terms of compulsory pension contributions (including those that do not have pension savings) has amounted to 10.1 million accounts as of 1 February 2020,” the review says.
It is noted that the amount of pension payments in January 2020 amounted to 17.9 billion tenge. The main share of the UNPF total investment portfolio as of 1 February 2020 is occupied by government securities of Kazakhstan and corporate securities of issuers of Kazakhstan (42.2% and 28.1% of the total pension assets, respectively).
