Over 15.1K citizens received social payments in event of job loss starting the year
As of March 1, 2020, 15 137 citizens have become recipients of social payments in the event of job loss totaling 1.2 billion tenge, Strategy2050.kz has learnt from the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population.
The social support for the unemployed in Kazakhstan is represented by measures to promote employment and social payments in the case of job loss at the expense of the State Social Insurance Fund (SSIF), introduced since 2005.
The payment from the State Social Insurance Fund is assigned to a participant of the compulsory social insurance system registered as unemployed.
In this case, the payment is assigned from 1 to 6 months depending on the length of service in the system and income for the last 24 months.
As of March 1 of this year, 15 137 citizens received payments totaling 1.2 billion tenge, the average size was 41 418 tenge.
In general, over 15 years of the functioning of the system of compulsory social insurance for this type of payment from the State Social Insurance Fund 19.7 billion tenge were allocated.
