One fourth of active small companies run in trade in Kazakhstan
In the field of wholesale and retail trade, as well as the repair of cars and motorcycles and their sale, 131 thousand small enterprises were registered at the end of October 2019 - by 0.2% more than a year earlier. The share of all registered small companies decreased from 30.6% to 30% within the year, Finprom.kz reports.
81.1 thousand small companies in the field of trade are operating, an annual growth of 11.4%. This increased the share of the entire existing small business from 27.3% to 27.6%.
Almost half of all registered trade small enterprises are in Almaty and Nur-Sultan: 43.1 thousand and 21.1 thousand, respectively, with 24.2 thousand in Almaty and 14 thousand in Nur-Sultan being active.
The smallest number of small companies in the field of trade is in Turkestan region, where there are only 2 thousand registered enterprises, of which 1.2 thousand are active, and also in Kyzylorda region: 1.8 thousand are registered, of which 1.2 thousand are active small companies in the sector.
The number of small active companies in the field of trade is 38.8 thousand, an annual growth of 6.5%. Their share of the total active small business is 24.3%.
At the same time, the share of active small companies in the field of wholesale and retail trade, as well as car and motorcycle repair out of the active ones in the sector decreased from 50% to 47.8% over the year.
The volume of trade in the segment of small enterprises in January-October 2019 amounted to 23.1 trillion tenge, of which 16.5 trillion tenge - wholesale, 6.5 trillion tenge - retail.
The share of small enterprises in the total volume of wholesale trade was 82.7%, retail - 72.4%.
