Nursultan Nazarbayev meets with Zelensky in Japan
While his visit to Japan to take part in an official enthronement ceremony of Japanese Emperor Naruhito, Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Strategy2050.kz informs with reference to the First Kazakh President’s website.
The First Kazakh President, National Leader participated in an official ceremony of enthronement of Japanese Emperor Naruhito upon invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe. The ceremony was attended by dignities from over 175 countries.

During his meeting with the Ukrainian President, the First Kazakh President congratulated Volodymyr Zelensky on his election as President
“I keep track of Ukraine as your country is close to me. It is not only because I has studied in Ukraine for two years. Since the first days of independence I knew all the Presidents of your country,” the First Kazakh President said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed concern regarding the situation in Ukraine.
He stressed the importance of peace settlement of the conflict in southeast Ukraine.
“The people elected you with a high level of confidence. You have every possibility to accomplish your plans,” he said.
Volodymyr Zelensky, on his part, outlined that Ukraine has supported and supports Kazakhstan on various fronts.
The Ukrainian President told about him getting acquainted with current Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in New York, as well as invited Nursultan Nazarbayev to visit Ukraine.
Both have also discussed the issues of increasing the trade turnover and fostering the countries’ relations.
