Nur-Sultan to host Digital Bridge Forum
The Kazakh capital of Nur-Sultan will play host to Digital Bridge, an annual international technology forum, on 24-25 October 2019, gathering leading IT specialists and technology entrepreneurs to share experiences and innovational solutions in the digital development field, Strategy2050.kz informs with reference to Astana Hub.
The Forum is held at the initiative of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with support of young IT specialists of the country to set up a dialogue platform among the participants of Kazakhstan’s innovation ecosystem and a pool of modern technoparks involving the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States.
“This year we plan the Forum’s concept to be a big umbrella-type event for all types of discussions regarding the digital ecosystem in Kazakhstan. We want Digital Bridge to be a true bridge connecting different audiences, including businesses, the State, corporations and others engaged in promoting digital ideas and determined to dealing with the issues existing in that sphere and carry out efficient projects”, Pavel Koktyshev, Deputy Board Chairman, National Infocommunication Holding Zerde, said.
The event will feature a strategic session themed Next Tech Entrepreneur Forum. The participants will also be able to take part in open discussions touching on miscellaneous topics: future education, venture financing, cyber sport, business incubation, and digital media. There will be B2B meetings among participants.
“We will create a huge accent for business environment; there will be a site for startups, investors, entrepreneurs, IT companies, specialists and media to meet and go over certain topics in an informal setting and without ties”, he added.
The Forum will traditionally feature the annual Astana Hub Awards for contributing to Kazakhstan’s IT industry as well as Astana Hub Battle – a competition among technology startups.
An official opening of Astana IT University and Alem programming school as well as showcasing the services of the Digital Population Service Centre are expected as part of the Digital Bridge Forum. The Forum will hold a discussion of the issues of digitalization involving CDOs and a round table among SCO international technoparks.
The Forum’s organizers are the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan with the participation of Zerde National Infocommunication Holding and Astana Hub International Technopark of IT-startups. It is held with support of Kazakhtelecom, ERG and BTS Digital.
