Nur-Sultan hosts 2019 KSP Regional Seminar in Eurasia
2019 Knowledge Sharing Programme Regional Seminar in Eurasia is taking place in the Kazakh capital city of Nur-Sultan. The event’s organizers include the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan and Korea’s Development Institute, Strategy2050.kz correspondent reports.
The seminar centers on the fields of investment and trade.
The Knowledge Sharing Programme was launched in 2004 by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Korea to boost trade and investment cooperation with Eurasian countries. It also aims at securing prosperity and peace across the region.
In her welcoming remarks, Mrs.Bibigul Masserbayeva, Deputy Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, conveyed gratitude to Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance for contributing to the development of bilateral cooperation through KSP.
“Kazakhstan attaches great attention to cooperation with international organizations, and important projects. KSP has been undergoing since 2007 in Kazakhstan as part of the cooperation among the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Korea and the Kazakh National Economy Ministry”, she said.
Under KSP, in 7 April 2017 the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Korea and the National Economy Ministry of Kazakhstan, which is a government body coordinating the foreign cooperation with international organizations, signed a framework agreement on mutual understanding aimed at exchanging the knowledge and experiences between Korea and Kazakhstan.

Over the past years the surveys in SME development, loan guarantees and support for innovational development and industrial public-private partnership have been successfully undertaken.
2019 KSP Regional Seminar is held each year.
