Nur-Sultan – Almaty flight passengers must test negative for COVID-19
To execute the order of the Head of State, domestic air carriers are ready to resume flights starting from May 1 this year between the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty. Flights will be carried out on a daily basis. 4 flights per day: 2 flights - Air Astana, 1 - Fly Arystan and 1 – SCAT, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
According to the Ministry, the airlines are committed to maintaining tickets’ cost at the level that was before the suspension of flights. If the situation improves, the issue of increasing the number of flights and aircraft capacity will be considered.
The flights will be carried out with enhanced sanitary requirements approved by the Chief Medical Doctor for Transport of the Ministry of Healthcare. The most important requirements are:
➖ passengers must test negative for COVID-19 (the validity of the certificate is 7 days from the date of issue);
➖ use of personal protective equipment (face masks, gloves);
➖ passing thermometry, social distance;
➖ enhanced disinfection of airports and aircraft.
According to the sanitary safety requirements, flights will be operated without on-board meals.
