North Macedonia and Kazakhstan to enhance links in all spheres

Kazakh Senate Speaker Dariga Nazarbayeva met with Chairman of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia Talat Jaferi, Strategy2050.kz informs with reference to the Senate press service.

In her welcoming remarks, Dariga Nazarbayeva pointed out that Kazakhstan regards the Republic of North Macedonia as a key political partner and that the first official visit of the parliamentary delegation of North Macedonia since the establishment of diplomatic relations is of special significance.

The Senate Speaker noted great progress in integrating North Macedonia into the European Union.

“We congratulate you and believe that our cooperation will continue and North Macedonia will be our reliable friend”, she said.

The Senate Speaker also expressed confidence that Talat Jaferi’s visit will mark the dawn of a new stage of cooperation among the States.

“The Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian countries’ Parliaments took place in Nur-Sultan for the first time. Such meetings prove that the role of Parliaments in integration processes in the Eurasian space keeps growing each year”, the Senate Speaker said.

In his turn, Chairman of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia Talat Jaferi also expressed interest in strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.

According to him, the Republic of North Macedonia supports all the international initiatives of Kazakhstan, especially in the frameworks of the UN and OSCE. He outlined the importance of using the whole potential of bilateral relations to raise the level of interaction in all spheres, including tourism, agriculture and education.

He went on to say to speed up the process in addressing the issue of visa-free regime among the countries.

“That will favorably effect on the trade and economic relations”, he said.

Dariga Nazarbayeva echoed his words and said that Kazakhstan has all conditions for investors, there is a robust legal framework to develop business climate.
