New mayor of Shymkent appointed by President

According to the decree of the Head of State, Murat Aitenov has been appointed Mayor of the city of Shymkent, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.
“To appoint Murat Aitenov as Mayor of Shymkent,” the decree reads.
Previously, he served as the First Deputy Mayor of the city of Shymkent.
Murat Aitenov has replaced Yerlan Kuanyshovich, a former mayor of Shymkent.
