First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev had a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to Elbasy.kz.
Nursultan Nazarbayev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed the unprecedented situation in the world related to the coronavirus pandemic, and expressed mutual support for measures taken by both countries to overcome the global epidemiological disaster.
The sides also touched upon pressing issues of Kazakh-Uzbek cooperation and the regional agenda.
At the end of the conversation, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated each other on the upcoming Nauryz holiday.
The telephone conversation was initiated by the Uzbek side.
