Much work remains to be done – Nazarbayev about EAEU’s activity
First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev received Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich, Strategy2050.kz informs with reference to Elbasy.kz.
During the meeting, the sides discussed further development of relations between the states within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
EAEU Honorary Chairman Nazarbayev noted that Kazakhstan has always supported the idea of economic integration.
“For quite some time, the Union’s member states have gone to considerable lengths. A large number of agreements were signed. Joint decisions were made in all sectors”, Elbasy said.
The First President of Kazakhstan assured Mr. Myasnikovich that he would provide him with comprehensive support in resolving issues of strengthening the Economic Union.
“During these years, the EAEU has been developing successfully. A number of countries are actively interested in it. Someone wants to be an observer, someone wants to join the Union. Much work remains to be done, including the development of integration with the European Union”, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In turn, Mikhail Myasnikovich spoke about the negotiations with Kazakhstan’s leadership and plans for further work of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
