Mazhilis Speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin isolates himself
Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Kazakh Parliament, Nurlan Nigmatulin, isolates himself, Strategy2050.kz reports with the reference to the press service of the lower chamber.
It is reported that the Mazhilis Speaker observed quarantine measures strictly, worked remotely in the last month, did not contact anyone. However, Nurlan Nigmatulin was tested for coronavirus before each plenary meeting.
But on June 9 and 11 this year the Chairman of the Mazhilis received Minister of Healthcare Yelzhan Birtanov.
“The Speaker of the Mazhilis passed another test on June 16. Unfortunately, the test showed a positive result. The diagnosis is made as asymptomatic. Adhering to the approved Protocol, Nurlan Nigmatulin decided on self-isolation. At present, the Chairman of the Mazhilis continues to work remotely”, the message reads.
The plenary meeting of the Mazhilis scheduled for June 17 will be chaired by his deputy.
