Mazhilis Speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin attends TurkPA events in Baku
The parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of the Mazhilis Nurlan Nigmatulin takes part in the events of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA), taking place in Baku, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Mazhilis.
The program includes a speech by Nurlan Nigmatulin at the plenary session “Parliamentary diplomacy in the Turkic world: strengthening regional cooperation in the interests of peace and security”. The recommendations of the TurkPA standing committees dealing with issues of economic cooperation, social, cultural and humanitarian issues, environmental protection and the use of natural resources, as well as legislation and international relations are also due to be discussed.
In addition, the parliamentarians will consider model laws on the protection of the intangible cultural heritage of the Turkic world, as well as on tourism.
The agreements and decisions reached will be recorded in the Baku Declaration.
It is envisaged that the Mazhilis Chairman is about to hold a series of meetings with foreign colleagues.
