KazMunayGas, Petropavlovsk Plant of Heavy Machine Building sign a cooperation agmt
The national company KazMunayGas (KMG) signed a cooperation agreement with the Petropavlovsk Plant of Heavy Machine Building (the Plant), aiming at implementing the strategic partnership agreement between Samruk Kazyna and the Plant by organizing the supply of trucks and special equipment to KMG's subsidiaries, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to KMG’s press service.
As part of this event, KazMunayGas’s subsidiary Oil Services Company LLP signed a long-term contract with the Plant for the supply of special equipment.
It is of priority for KazMunayGas to support domestic producers, as well as an increase in local content in procurement. Under the contract, the Plant is due to supply Oil Services Company with special equipment for well repair and maintenance.
The agreements are part of the Procurement Category Strategy approved by the Samruk Kazyna Board, which focuses on supporting domestic manufacturers.
The Strategy’s one of the approaches is to conclude strategic agreements with Kazakh enterprises.
The Plant is one of the largest manufacturers of equipment for oil and gas, oil and gas refining, petrochemical, chemical, gas, energy and other industries in Kazakhstan. It is also among the city-forming enterprises of Petropavlovsk.
The national company KazMunayGas is the leading vertically integrated oil and gas company in Kazakhstan. KMG manages assets throughout the entire production cycle from hydrocarbon exploration and production to transportation, processing and the provision of specialized services. The company, founded in 2002, represents the interests of Kazakhstan in the country's oil and gas industry.
