Kazakhstanis sent almost KZT 40 bln abroad in January 2020

Amount of funds sent through international money transfer systems in January this year has amounted to 39.7 billion tenge, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to Ranking.kz.
This is the highest figure for January for all time. Over the year, the volume of transfers grew by 4.8%.
Over 71% of the total volume of money sent abroad accounted for only 4 countries. Russia is the leader, where 13 billion tenge were sent in January - 11.2% less than last year.
Among the main recipient countries are Turkey (6.3 billion tenge, + 30.9%), Uzbekistan (6.1 billion tenge, + 25.5%) and Kyrgyzstan (6 billion tenge, + 37%).
