Kazakhstanis returning from Latin America and the Caribbean
In connection with the rapid spread of coronavirus infection, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Mexico has assisted in the return of our compatriots from Latin America and the Caribbean, Strategy2050.kz has learnt from the Foreign Ministry’s Telegram account.
So, from March 13 to March 25, 127 Kazakhstanis returned from the Dominican Republic, 4 from Mexico, 3 from Panama and 3 from Costa Rica.
The problems of their return consisted in the termination of flights by the states, as well as a ban on leaving the transit zones of international airports. Given the difficulties, the overwhelming majority of citizens of Kazakhstan were sent in transit through Moscow and safely reached Kazakhstan. This was organized thanks to the coordinated actions of our diplomats in Mexico City and Moscow.
The evacuated citizens express their deep gratitude to the staff of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Mexico for round-the-clock assistance in resolving their issues and difficulties.
