Kazakhstanis handed over 120K old cars for recycling
Today, the recycling program for decommissioned vehicles celebrates 3 years. Over the duration of the program, 121,477 vehicles were accepted. The total amount of payments to the population amounted to over 11.5 billion tenge, Strategy2050.kz refers to the press service of Operator ROP.
It is worth noting that under the program on discount certificates, 44,226 units of the old car were accepted and a similar number of certificates were issued, of which 38,528 were already used to purchase 20,646 vehicles of domestic production.
Accepted in the framework of two programs, old cars are delivered to the old and unfit cars recycling plant in Karaganda region. To date, the plant has recycled 102,000 old vehicles.
The implementation of the old and unfit cars recycling program will allow updating country's car fleet, stimulating the production of environmentally friendly vehicles and contributing to the formation of the recycling industry infrastructure.
