Kazakhstan won the 1st medal at World War Games in China

In the Chinese province of Hubei, Wuhan city, which is hosting the VII Summer World War Games, Nurkozha Kaipanov, athlete of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan in freestyle wrestling, won a silver medal, Strategy2050.kz informs with reference to CSKA’a press service.

The freestyle army wrestler fought for gold in the weight category up to 74 kilograms with world champion from Russia Khetag Tsabolov.

 “I am proud that I was able to give the country a medal because it is, after all, the Olympic Games among the military men. This competition is the main sporting event for military personnel from around the world. And of course, I’d like to express my sincere words of gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan and CSKA for their support and confidence in defending the country's honor at the Games”, the Kazakh sportsman thanked.

It should be noted that Nurkozha Kaipanov is an athlete of the staff team of the Central Sports Club of the Army of the Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan in freestyle wrestling.

According to the results of three competitive days, China is leading with the largest number of won medals. In second place is Russia, Brazil - the third.
