Kazakhstan, USA signed air traffic agreement
The agreement was signed between the Governments of Kazakhstan and the United States of America pursuant to the instructions of Elbasy and the President of Kazakhstan, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan.
This agreement is the first for Kazakhstan, which provides the “open skies” principles in accordance with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on further liberalization of air transport. It provides great opportunities for carriers planning to fly between Kazakhstan and the United States of America, within which the parties can fly without restrictions on the number of carriers, destinations and frequencies, including those with a “fifth degree” with Air rims.
“The agreement will establish the legal framework for direct regular flights between the two countries, and will also contribute to the further development of strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the United States of America”, the message reads.
On the part of the Government of Kazakhstan, the agreement was signed by Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov, on the part of the Government of the United States of America - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Kazakhstan - William H. Moser.
The opening of direct flights between the two countries will contribute to the development of political, economic, cultural relations and tourism, as well as increasing transport accessibility of the Astana International Financial Center.
