Kazakhstan to suspend more flights to South Korea, Iran due to coronavirus
The worsening epidemiological situation in South Korea and Iran led the Kazakh Government to take measures preventing the further spread of the coronavirus to the country, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the Kazakh ministry of industry and infrastructural development.
Under the decision of the Interdepartmental Commission to prevent the occurrence and spread of coronavirus infection, starting 1 March 2020 Kazakhstan is due to reduce some flights as follows:
Air Astana:
En route from Almaty to Seoul flights will be reduced from 5 to 1 flight per week;
From Nur-Sultan to Seoul – from 2 to 1 flight per week;
Asiana Airlines:
From Almaty to Seoul - from 2 to 1 flight per week;
Mahan Air:
From Almaty to Tehran - 1 flight per week.
Passengers are advised to refrain from travelling to South Korea, as well as take into account the measures taken to return from South Korea to Kazakhstan.
In this regard, for passengers having tickets from 1 March of this year for the given flights can return tickets at the place of purchase. Refunds for tickets will be issued without penalty and in full.
