Kazakhstan strikes cargo transport in Tajikistan and Turkmenistan
According to the decision of the Interdepartmental Commission to prevent the occurrence and spread of coronavirus infection in the territory, Kazakhstan is taking measures to ban the transit through the territory of the country of foreign citizens and freight vehicles from other countries following to third countries establishing a ban on entry, Strategy2050.kz reports.
Countries with a ban on entry are Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Thus, a ban on the transit of goods through Kazakhstan to these countries was introduced.
In addition, a ban has been introduced on the movement at the Aisha Bibi and Karasu automobile checkpoints (Kazakh-Kyrgyz border, Zhambyl region) of all categories of persons and vehicles, with the exception of the permit of freight transit vehicle from 10.00 am to 07.00 pm. The ban does not apply to diplomatic personnel and courier service employees.
