Kazakhstan, Singapore to have a breakthrough in relations in 2020
The Kazakh ambassador to Singapore, Arken Arystanov, attended a meeting with, the newly appointed director general of the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia Directorate of the Singaporean Foreign Ministry, Samuel Tan, Strategy2050.kz report with reference to the Kazakh foreign ministry.
The two discussed the bilateral relations among Kazakhstan and Singapore, with a focus on dialogue at the highest and other levels, as well as bilateral cooperation in investment projects.
Both expressed a common understanding that the recent visit of Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry, to Nur-Sultan confirmed the great potential and good opportunities for trade and investment cooperation through establishing effective transport and logistics channels between the two countries and Central Asia and Southeast Asia. The meeting also dwelled upon the establishment of direct flights between two states.
The importance of expanding the bilateral legal framework to ensure necessary conditions for cooperation was emphasized.
