Kazakhstan’s soldiers to participate in World War Games in China
National team’s athletes of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan will participate in the VII Summer World War Games in Wuhan, China, Strategy2050.kz refers to the press service of the CSKA.
“The World War Games is a multi-sports competition organized for military athletes. They are held under the auspices of the International Military Sports Council. At present, a delegation of 103 people has been formed who will defend the honor of not only our country, but also the Armed Forces”, Bakhytbek Smagulov, Mazhilis deputy, said.
Aitalap Kurgambayev, head of the Central Sports Club of the Army of the Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan informed that this competition is an analogue of the Olympic Games, held once every 4 years.
“In 2019, the Games will be held in 27 sports. Over 8,000 strongest military athletes from 132 world countries are planning to take part”, he said.
At the end of the event, the flag of Kazakhstan was transferred to flag-bearer of the national team in China, junior sergeant Adilet Davlumbayev, winner of the World War Games 2015, winner of the Asian Games.
The delegation's ceremony of seeing off ended with an official photo shoot and visiting the military history museum and park named after Panfilov’s 28 guardsmen.
