4 March, 2020 10:12
To prevent the spread of coronavirus, from March 5, Aktau and Kuryk sea ports will temporarily suspend servicing of vessels arriving from Azerbaijan and Iran, transporting people and vehicles with drivers, Strategy2050.kz reports with a reference to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan.
It is reported that crews of foreign cargo ships have a restriction on leaving ships in the ports of Aktau and Kuryk.
“The sanitary-epidemiological services will tighten control over the crew members of Kazakhstani vessels engaged in international transportation, when they change at ports”, the message reads.
It is noted that information on the measures taken will be brought to the attention of the maritime administrations of the Caspian littoral states.
